International Director Drazen Melcic
Drazen Melcic from Zagreb, Croatia, was elected to serve a two-year term as an international director of Lions Clubs International at the association's 107th international convention in Orlando, Florida, USA July 13 through July 17, 2025.
Director Melcic has 40 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He is currently the general manager for Polycan Aerosols.
Director Melcic has been a Lion since 2000, after joining the Zagreb Maksimir Lions Club. He is currently a member of the Zagreb Agram Lions Club, where he's been serving since 2023.
He has held a number of offices within the association, including club Membership Chairperson, Club Secretary, Club President, Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson, GMT Coordinator, First Vice District Governor, District Governor and LCIF District Coordinator, Among many others. Director Melcic was also Europa Forum President, held 2022 in Zagreb, D-126 Croatia. In recognition of his service to the association, Director Melcic has received numerous awards, including the Club Excellence Award and District Governor Certificates of Appreciation.
He is also the recipient of multiple International President's Awards, International President's Leadership Awards and International President's Certificates of Appreciation. Additionally, Director Melcic is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lion activities, Director Melcic is active in numerous professional and community organisations, such as the Swiss Croatian Business Association and the Croatian Association of Corrugated Board Packaging.
Director Melcic and his wife, Vesna, also a Lion, have two children and two grandchildren.
